چکیده

Recent advances in low power integrated circuits is opening up a whole new realm of possibilities in the field of medical implants. One such possibility is to have implants which require neither wires nor batteries. Such an implant could be put in place and monitored using external equipment for the life of the patient, and it would never require later surgical operations to replace the batteries. The implant could be powered by the RF field generated by an external reader, and it would transmit its data back to the external reader using that same RF field. This paper will discuss the development of a medical implant which is designed to measure the blood pressure level profile from inside an abdominal aortic aneurysm sac. This implant is designed to collect pressure sample readings from an array of pressure sensors, and to transmit those pressure sample values to an external reading device.

Low Power Wireless ECG Acquisition and Cardiac Stimulation SOCs for Body Sensor Networks

In recent years, body sensor networks (BSNs) based applications or devices have become more and more popular, and acceptable to the people for monitoring the real-time health information, such as the electrocardiogram (ECG). In order to enhance the portability and increase the popularization of BSNs, a low-power wireless ECG acquisition system on a chip (SOC) stuck on the body is required. In t...

Improvement of Coverage Algorithm in WSN in Terms of Sensor Numbers and Power Amount

Wireless sensor networks(WSN) have unique properties that distinguished them from other wireless networks and have special challenges. Not-chargeable, not-changeable and limited power supplies of sensor nodes is the most important challenge of this networks, and if the power supply of node expired, a part of data maybe lost. Because of the importance of covers in wireless sensors, in this work ...

Topology Control in Wireless Sensor Network using Fuzzy Logic

Network sensors consist of sensor nodes in which every node covers a limited area. The most common use ofthese networks is in unreachable fields.Sink is a node that collects data from other nodes. One of the main challenges in these networks is the limitation of nodes battery (power supply). Therefore, the use oftopology control is required to decrease power consumption and increase network acce...

Throughput Maximization for Multi-Slot Data Transmission via Two-Hop DF SWIPT-Based UAV System

In this paper, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) assisted cooperative communication system is studied, wherein a source transmits information to the destination through an energy harvesting decode-and-forward UAV. It is assumed that the UAV can freely move in between the source-destination pair to set up line of sight communications with the both nodes. Since the battery of the UAV may be limite...
